Abdul Keylani, M.D. is a Texas Health Care cardiologist who practices in Fort Worth. Dr. Keylani takes care of all aspects of cardiac patient care, from physical examination to placing a stent. He interprets nuclear stress tests, as well as heart ultrasound (echocardiogram), peripheral vascular ultrasound (Carotids, aorta, and extremities), with comprehensive cardiac care.
Dr. Keylani finished Medical School in Aleppo, Syria in 1988 where he worked as general practitioner until he relocated to the United States. He did an internship in 1994 at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, then an Internal Medicine residency, Cardiology Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine program at Hartford hospital in Connecticut. He was an active staff member there for nine years and was involved in the cardiology fellowship as teacher and mentor of cardiology fellows. He won “Best Cardiology Teacher” award twice, in 2005 and 2009.
In 1998, Dr. Keylani published the first study ever in literature discussing the influence of race upon cardiac events. He has co-authored review articles and published many abstracts at national cardiology meetings, as well as the European Society of Cardiology.
Dr. Keylani is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and was the Chief of Cardiology at The University of North Health Science center in Fort Worth before he joined Texas Health Care.
He is trained in managing, as well as performing, numerous cardiology procedures, including: right and left heart catheterization, angioplasty, stent placements in the heart, as well as the arms, legs, kidneys, abdominal aorta, and its branches, such as the celiac artery, superior mesenteric artery, iliac artery and femoral arteries.
Dr. Keylani is board certified in Internal Medicine (1998 and recertification in 2009), General Cardiology (2001 and recertification in 2009), Nuclear cardiology, (2001 and recertification in 2012), Transthoracic and Transesophageal echocardiography (2002 and recertification in 2012), Vascular interpretation, NASPE (North American Society of Pacing and Defibrillation) as well as Interventional cardiology.
