Dr. Michael England has been practicing Gynecology for the last thirty years. Female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery ( formally known as Urogynecology) encompasses all pelvic floor issues such as incontinence, both urinary and fecal, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, or congenital malformations. All forms of bladder malfunctions such as painful bladder syndrome, interstitial cystitis, recurrent urinary tract infections, or blood in the urine.
Dr. England utilizes Baylor All Saints Medical Centers, Andrews Women’s Hospital & the Joan Katze Breast Center specifically designed and dedicated to meeting the unique needs of women, to ensure that his patients receive the best care possible.
Dr. England graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 1979. After completing a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa he remained on as Faculty at Baragwanath Hospital. He later went into part-time private practice and immigrated to the United States in 1995, at which time he underwent a second residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He is currently Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology in Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. England is assisted by Elizabeth Weaver a Nurse Practitioner, who like Dr. England, is experienced in treating problems of the pelvic floor, as well as being very well qualified in managing routine gynecological issues.
In 1988 Elizabeth earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Barry University in Miami Florida. Elizabeth then entered the United States Air Force and served as an Air Force Officer in the Nurse Corp. After four years on active duty, Elizabeth moved to Texas in 1992 with her husband Steve. She continued to dedicate her nursing care to women’s health.
In 2004 Elizabeth earned her Master of Science degree from Texas Women’s University and became certified as a Nurse Practitioner. Upon course completion, Elizabeth interned with Dr. Michael England and spent over 500 hours under his direct supervision. Elizabeth then became part of Dr. England’s medical practice team and has been working in collaboration with him since that time. Elizabeth cares for routine well woman needs and has a passion for wellness and disease prevention. Elizabeth is a great resource for patients with issues or questions about Hormone replacement.
Dr England and Elizabeth Weaver are readily available, on a daily basis, to see patients with :

- Fistula problems either between the bladder and vagina or the rectum and the vagina

- Congenital Malformations
- Neurological issues that effect the pelvic floor such as : spinal cord trauma, Multiple Sclerosis, or Parkinsons
- Urethral problems : diverticulae, urethritis, urethral syndrome.
- Blood in the urine
In addition the Practice is involved with ongoing research through the Baylor Research Department.
