Dr. Lucas will be joining Texas Healthcare starting July 1, 2025
Dr. Lucas is an experienced family physician with a strong commitment to patient care. After 26 years of practicing medicine in Graham, Texas, he will be joining Privia Medical Group of North Texas in the summer of 2025. He has deep ties to Fort Worth, having grown up here and completed much of his education in the area.
Dr. Lucas graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University with dual majors in biology and history. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his residency in family practice at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
Dr. Lucas believes in building a strong, trust-based relationship with his patients and he sees the physician-patient partnership as crucial in achieving optimal health outcomes. He endeavors to collaborate with his patients and share the decision-making process to improve their well-being.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lucas enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, hunting, and running his peach farm in Graham. He also loves traveling with his wife, Meredeth, and their two sons, Rob and Ben.
