Christopher Kurian, MD

Dr. Christopher Kurian, MD is an interventional pain management specialist at Optimal Pain and Regenerative Medicine. After high school, he was dedicated to becoming a physician and pursued his goal through an accelerated combined BA/MD six-year program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency training in anesthesiology at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by additional fellowship training in interventional pain management at New York University.

Through his passion for medicine, Dr. Kurian has completed extensive pediatric and adult anesthesiology and pain medicine research at leading institutions including The Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins University, and Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care with a focus on improving function and quality of life through minimally invasive procedures and individualized treatment plans. He believes in truly listening to each patient to understand their goals, concerns, and experiences, ensuring that their voice is central to every step of their care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kurian enjoys staying active through basketball and CrossFit, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, creating and running his own successful medical podcast, volunteering in his community, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
