Dr. Mauricio A. Ruiz-Baron is an internal medicine physician in Fort Worth.
He joined Privia Medical Group North Texas/Texas Health Care in 2010 after completing his residency in internal medicine at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY. Dr. Ruiz-Baron also worked at the Hospital Maria Immaculada in Rio Blanco Tolima in inpatient medicine services, pediatrics and the emergency room. Dr. Ruiz-Baron received his medical degree from Escuela de Medicina Juan N. Corpas in Bogota, Colombia, where he was born.
Dr. Ruiz-Baron practiced for almost 12 years as a hospitalist at Harris Methodist and Baylor All Saints in Fort Worth. He is one of the medical directors and practices as an attending physician at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital in Fort Worth. Recently, he joined Texas Health Care in the outpatient setting as a primary care physician. His main goal is to educate and provide advice to his patients to promote healthy habits. He also integrates preventive measures to improve their patient’s health and quality of life.
Dr. Ruiz Baron is board certified in internal medicine, a member of the American College of Physicians and is a certified provider of basic life support and advanced cardiac life support. Dr. Ruiz-Baron is bilingual; he speaks both English and Spanish fluently. During his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, mountain bike riding, traveling, and spending time with his wife, two children, and his golden retriever.
