Dr. William Weller is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with additional subspecialty certification in Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Weller brings extensive expertise in the full spectrum of upper extremity care, treating conditions from the shoulder to the fingertips. His practice includes management of fractures, tendon/ligament injuries, nerve and tendon injuries, compressive neuropathies, arthritis, joint replacements, and sports-related injuries. He is highly skilled in both surgical and non-surgical techniques, including advanced options such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), blood flow restriction therapy, arthroscopic surgery, endoscopic surgery, joint arthroplasty, in office “wide awake” procedures, and accelerated rehabilitation protocols designed to enhance recovery outcomes.
Dr. Weller completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic, followed by a prestigious fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. Prior to relocating to Fort Worth, he practiced in Memphis, Tennessee for the past 7 years, where he was consistently voted a “Top Doctor” for his dedication to exceptional patient care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Weller has been an active contributor to the academic orthopedic community. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters and has presented nationally on topics such as opioid-sparing pain management and in-office “wide awake” procedures—advancing patient safety, satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness. His recent research on multimodal pain control for wrist fractures was recognized by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons as a top study in the field.
Dr. Weller is excited to bring his practice to Fort Worth and looks forward to calling Texas home again, after having spent part of his childhood growing up in the Lonestar state. He is dedicated to building strong relationships with patients and referring providers throughout the region. He is currently accepting new patients for both surgical and non-surgical evaluation and welcomes referrals for all upper extremity conditions.
